Oak Burr Bowl Print
It started as a photograph of an oak burr bowl I turned in the workshop, stripped back to black on the amber I use across everything.
Burr oak is one of the wildest grain I work with. This piece was no different - swirling eyes and tight clusters where the tree grew in on itself.
In high contrast it reads almost as a drawing. The split running down the right side is a natural check in the timber, and it's still there in the print.
8 inches square, so it holds a narrow bit of wall on its own, or hangs in a run of three up a stairwell.
• 1.25″ (3.18 cm) thick poly-cotton blend canvas
• Canvas fabric weight: 10.15 +/- 0.74 oz./yd.² (344 g/m² +/- 25g/m²)
• Fade-resistant
• Hand-stretched over solid wood stretcher bars
• Mounting brackets included
