Elm Burr Print (#11)
This one is vessel number 11, turned from a burr that grew in on itself for years before I got hold of it.
Seen from the top, the growth rings ripple out in bands that never quite close, and a run of bark edge holds the right hand side. In black and white against the amber, the whole thing reads like a contour map.
8 inches square, and it pairs well with the oak burr print if you want two.
Printed on canvas, stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang straight out of the box.
The vessel itself sold at the West End Fair in Edinburgh.
• 1.25″ (3.18 cm) thick poly-cotton blend canvas
• Canvas fabric weight: 10.15 +/- 0.74 oz./yd.² (344 g/m² +/- 25g/m²)
• Fade-resistant
• Hand-stretched over solid wood stretcher bars
• Mounting brackets included
